Villa Vittorio
The following archetypes define the bedrooms of the residence: the Painter, the Writer and la Senadora – meaning the daydreamer… Icons like Pablo Picasso, Marion Cotillard, Sophia Loren and Elisabeth Gilbert were the inspiration to draw the rooms. Each one inviting you to awaken your inner artist and tap into the divine energy of creation.

Awakening the creative senses we all have within us.
The scenic overlook of a nearby village on top of the mountains presents an ever changing painting at sunset. Life is magical in the mountains of Marche, Italy. It’s that magical sense of the greatness of the mountains and the soft tenderness of the clouds, still hanging low in the morning, that van der Ploeg wanted to captivate in the interior. That softness translates into lime walls painted in a variety of hues, ranging from soft peaches to dark plum like colours. The richness of the Italian landscape but also the Italian kitchen has inspired painters and artists alike. Those same artists and icons were the ones that in turn inspired the interior designer to create unique rooms for them to reside in when visiting Villa Vittorio.
Art curation
Van der Ploeg attentively curated a collection of contemporary art and older pieces she sourced from various dealers and artists. The surroundings of the building always play a big role in designing the interior. Everything has to work together and form a whole so that the space feels harmonious and beautiful without it seeming displaced.
